Recognition is a powerful action and here’s our monthly “shout out” on individuals making a difference. At least monthly, we will highlight a team member, client group, or provocative trend that models the behavior and practice of appreciation or recognition.
Aimee Stephens is our Shout Out because of her part in the fight against workplace discrimination. She was the plaintiff in one of the cases that was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court on June 15, 2020. That landmark decision ruled that employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity is prohibited under federal civil rights law. Aimee Stephens died on May 12, 2020 from kidney disease.
